With a family history of viticulture and winemaking spanning over a century, Carol was taught from an early age that great wine starts in the vineyard. When asked, “What does it take to make good wine?” Carol fondly recalls, “Good grapes, as Grandfather used to say.” Taking the lessons she learned from a young age, Carol has spent the last 28 years as a winemaker crafting her philosophy.

 “I make wine for people who consider it part of a meal. I was taught that wine needed to complement food.”

As a result, Carol focuses on all the complex characteristics of the fruit to produce a pleasing glass of 6 Degrees Cellars that can be enjoyed with any meal.
